The FIM Hard Enduro World Championship (HEWC) has published its Sporting and Technical Regulations for the 2026 season, marking an important milestone as the championship enters a new phase of growth and alignment.

Finalised in collaboration with the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), regulations confirm the sporting framework that will govern all nine rounds of the 2026 championship, delivering greater clarity, consistency, and confidence for riders, teams and organisers.

With the calendar confirmed from April to October, the regulations provide a unified foundation for a truly global season of Hard Enduro competition.

The 2026 regulations reinforce HEWC’s commitment to a single, unified World Championship, with all rounds operating under the same sporting and governance framework.

Clear standards are set for event formats, timekeeping, classification, results validation, podium protocols and media procedures, ensuring consistency across all rounds while respecting the unique character of each event.

This alignment strengthens sporting integrity and improves the experience for riders, teams, officials and fans alike.

The final regulations confirm the championship’s points system for both single-day and multi-day events, ensuring that performance across prologues, race days and overall classifications contributes meaningfully to the championship standings.

By rewarding consistency across an entire weekend, the structure reflects the core demands of Hard Enduro and encourages riders to commit to the full championship campaign.

Motorcycles competing in the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship must comply with the approved FIM Technical Regulations.

Internal combustion engine motorcycles remain eligible across the championship, while Electric Power Vehicles (EPV) are authorised in accordance with FIM regulations and applicable sporting provisions.

This approach supports technical diversity while maintaining fairness, safety and performance parity at the highest level of competition.

All riders scoring World Championship points must hold a valid FIM licence, issued through their national federation, in line with the final regulations.

The authority of the FIM International Jury is clearly defined, with transparent procedures for protests, appeals and sporting decisions applied consistently across the championship.

Medical, safety and eligibility provisions remain central to the regulatory framework, reinforcing rider welfare as a core priority.

Beyond competition, the 2026 regulations support the continued professionalisation of the championship.

Standardised paddock presentation, unified branding requirements, structured media access and defined organiser responsibilities are all embedded within the framework, helping HEWC evolve as a modern, globally recognised motorsport platform.

The regulations provide stability for existing stakeholders while creating a clear pathway for future development and innovation.
